From Shrinking to shining.
It can be a common coping mechanism to be hypercritical of yourself. With a therapeutic nudge, this critical voice can be redirected and become your greatest ally and personal empowerment, advocation, and creation.
Clients I work with report similar things: they want to slow down, but in the rare moments they are able to, they report a restlessness and inability to relax—like there is a mental taskmaster reminding them they are wasting time when they could be “being productive.” They cannot escape the to-do list that seems to be burned into their brain.
Therapy sessions serve as a welcome “pause” during the day: a dedicated space to make sense of the feelings that are buried underneath the busyness. Together, we talk about the parts of you that have been pushed aside and listen to your deeper needs and desires. It’s then you are able to make choices guided by your deeper wisdom, and not just the automatic expectations of the “shoulds” and “need-to’s.” It’s this that can lead you to a more settled, calm, and sustainable life.

Compassionate Austin-based Therapy for reconnecting with yourself.
My Approach
Going to therapy is an act of turning toward ourselves. Life brings inevitable hardship, and sometimes we get stuck in familiar, self-defeating patterns. My approach helps clients move away from harsh inner criticism and toward curiosity, self-understanding, and lasting change. My hope is for each of my clients to grow into a more whole and resilient version of themselves—alive, connected, and better equipped to navigate life’s challenges.
I specialize in working with perfectionism, people-pleasing, harsh inner critics, substance use, and low self-esteem.
What Therapy Looks Like
I take an assessment-based approach, which means I tailor therapy to you—not a one-size-fits-all method. In our early sessions, I get to know your history, personality, and the unique ways you’ve learned to cope. From there, I choose tools and techniques that fit your specific needs and preferences.
For some people, that might mean structured strategies for managing anxiety. For others, it’s slowing down and exploring deeper emotions that haven’t had space to surface. This personalization allows us to more effectively identify what’s beneath your struggles and support your insight, clarity, and healing.

“When people open to the possibility that they are being aggressive toward themselves, it invites curiosity and, perhaps down the road, maybe even a little more gentleness.” -Bruce Tift
My Background & Training
As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw from Developmental, Existential, and Strengths-Based theories to support clients on their path of self-discovery and growth. With a background in Visual Arts and Psychology from Naropa University and a Master of Social Work from Texas State University, I bring both creativity and clinical rigor to my work as a Licensed Master Social Worker.
Supervision and continuing education are essential parts of my practice. I regularly participate in both individual and group supervision, as well as ongoing training, to ensure I’m showing up with skill, care, and thoughtfulness in every session.
